The United Nations established 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2017. The SDGs are a universal set of goals that meet the urgent environmental, political, and economic challenges facing our world.
At Rousselot, we have identified 8 SDGs with which we can have maximum impact. This is our answer to the call to action from the United Nations ‘to promote prosperity, while protecting the planet and improving everyone’s life’.

Implement “six modernizations” in production and operation activities, use recycled materials to develop new protective materials, and open up the development path of green “circular economy” - Clean energy
Adjust the energy structure and improve energy efficiency; rationalize the layout and reduce overall energy demand - Climate action
Reduce carbon emissions; formulate specific implementation paths for carbon neutrality to further reduce the “carbon footprint” of products. - Jobs
Respect every individual and eliminate modern slavery; create safe working and living environments and provide guaranteed jobs for employees - Gender equality
Good working environment, equal pay for men and women for equal work, and equal opportunities for promotion - Social welfare
Participate in public welfare activities such as “Earthquake Relief”, “Student Assistance to the Poverty-stricken”, “Love and Police Assistance” and other public welfare activities, and use practical actions to give back to the society
